Daphne, Ala. – ADAM Systems President, Bill Wilson, announced today that
ADAM has begun to hire new employees at its facility located in the Summit
on US 98 in Daphne. As part of new business generated from its award
winning software package for automotive dealers, ADAM will create 10 new
jobs in the local area over the next year. “The project involves hiring
customer service representatives and software installers for our
windows-based product in the Dealer Management Systems market,” noted
Wilson. “On this project, we have received very capable support from
Alabama Industrial Development Training (AIDT) in the form of “On-The-Job”
Training Instructor Reimbursement Incentives.”
Wilson also remarked that the Baldwin County
Economic Development Alliance helped ADAM identify appropriate training
incentives such as AIDT and the Baldwin County Career Center-Workforce
Investment ACT programs, which include Pre-Employment, New Hire, Customized
and Incumbent Worker Training financial assistance. “We hope to use more of
these programs as we continue to expand,” noted Wilson.
Daphne Mayor Harry Brown
thanked ADAM for their confidence in expanding their workforce here. "This
is another great indication of the future of Daphne. We appreciate AIDT,
the Alliance, and the Career Center for offering their assistance to ADAM on
this project," noted Brown. “ADAM is a high technology industry and has a
strong economic impact on the City of Daphne.”
Alliance President Lance
LaCour and Eastern Shore Chamber President Darrelyn Bender were equally
pleased about the project: “This announcement comes as great news for the
Baldwin County economy as ADAM will be creating, high wage, skilled jobs. It
also helps us build critical mass towards our goal of enlarging our software
development employment base in Baldwin County and the region.”
ADAM Systems is a privately held company and
employs a total of approximately 55 personnel. Headquartered in Daphne,
ADAM offers the automotive dealer a comprehensive alternative to “old line”
dealership management systems and their expensive total cost of ownership.
ADAM is an approved DCS systems vendor for Daimler Chrysler, Ford, and
General Motors with interfaces developed to exchange data with manufacturer
communication networks.
