All Baldwin County residents—regardless of where they live—could be eligible for curbside recycling, after the county’s Solid Waste Authority completes construction of a 50,000 square foot materials recovery facility (MRF) adjacent to Magnolia Landfill in Summerdale.

The facility, which is scheduled to be completed later this year, will process recycled materials from around the county. Starting in 2025, the county will begin rolling out curbside recycling in phases, not only to residents who live in the unincorporated areas of Baldwin County, but also those that live in the municipalities as well, Terri Graham, CEO of the county SWA, says.
